Description: There are a few basic guidelines to follow when creating accessible Web pages. This course is designed to give those with no background in accessible Web page creation an opportunity to learn about the importance for text descriptions and images, appropriately identifying hyperlinks, and the use of color on Web pages. This session will also provide information on the use of various Web authoring tools to construct accessible Web page content. This is an introductory course and is intended for individuals with no experience in accessible Web page creation. Participants will be able to:
  • learn the basic guidelines for text descriptions, naming hyperlinks, using color, etc. on Web pages
  • identify and experience the tools that can be used to create and evaluate Web pages
  • review the basic standards and guidelines applied to accessible Web page creation
  • learn the resources available to assist with the creation of accessible Web pages
Reimbursement Level: Please be advised that reimbursement is only available for travel expenses for California community college Disabled Student Services Faculty and Staff. Hotel expenses will not be reimbursed.
