The High Tech Center Training Unit, in conjunction with a statewide team of Learning Disability Specialists and High Tech Center Specialists, is revisiting the subject of finding appropriate educational software to address cognitive deficits in students with learning disabilities. �Selecting Software for Students with Learning Disabilities� is the title of an online resource that is being created to assist individuals in the process of selecting software for students with specific cognitive deficits. Learn more about this resource and how it can help you identify software exercises and activities that will benefit individuals with different learning disabilities.
Participants will:
- Learn about specific cognitive deficits as identified through modern testing instruments such as the WAIS and Woodcock Johnson
- Learn how to select appropriate and effective software to address specific cognitive deficits
- Recieve training in the use of the online resource �Selecting Software for Students with Learning Disabilities�
- Try out different software applications that were reviewed in the creation of �Selecting Software for Students with Learning Disabilities�
This training is intended for Learning Disability Specialists, High Tech Center Training Specialists, and DSPS Directors and Coordinators.
