Description: Podcasting is a way of delivering audio and video content via the internet. It is growing in popularity with students and faculty as a way of delivering educational content. This one day training for Alternative Media and High Tech Center Specialists provides an overview of the accessibility of podcasting technology.

Participants will be able to:

  • Understand the basic components of a podcast
  • Know how to create an RSS feed (podcast)
  • Have a reference for the features of different iPod devices in terms of accessibility
  • Know about the accessible functionality of the iTunes software and the iPod devices as well as other podcast-playing software and hardware
  • Better understand the aspects of the MP3/MP4 format that can be used to make accessible podcasts.
Reimbursement Level: Please be advised that reimbursement is only available for travel expenses for California community college Disabled Student Services Faculty and Staff. Hotel expenses will not be reimbursed.
