| Description: |
As the Digital Video Disc (DVD) format becomes more widely utilized, it is necessary to ensure this media format includes the appropriate captioning information to support all students in higher education. While there are some similarities between the captioning processes for VHS and DVD media, DVD materials require a different workflow and software applications to deliver a captioned presentation.
Participants will have an opportunity to:
- learn the differences between DVD and VHS captioning
- explore various programs that allow for DVD captioning
- identify the necessary steps for DVD captioning
- caption and finalize a short DVD presentation
- review options to transform captioned VHS media to DVD
