Description: Through this train we will explore how the various note taking apps can assist both teachers and students with making information more accessible. We will focus on math application in the morning and expended the discussion to other disciplines in the afternoon. Below is a list of possible apps. Apps may be added and removed as the app environment changes. Training will provide both demonstration and hands-on practice.

Morning: 10:00-12:00 Focus on Notetaking Ipad apps:
  • 1. Notability: written notes and audio during class
  • 2. Notepad Free
  • 3. Goodnotes: Zoom capabilities
  • 4. ClaroSpeak +

    Afternoon: 1:00-3:00pm:
  • 1. Ipad accessibility tools
  • 2. PDF Readers
  • 3. Inspiration, Mind mapping

    Participants will be able to do the following:
  • 1. Identify ways of helping teachers integrate accessible apps into curriculum
  • 2. Identify ways of using apps to support students with disabilities

    Intended for community college staff who primarily support students with learning disabilities and faculty who teach general education classes
